Kathleen Bottagaro has diverse experience in real estate law with a particular emphasis on financings, representing owners and developers of market and affordable multifamily projects, senior living facilities, office/industrial properties, retail centers and mixed-use projects throughout the United States.

Kathleen handles complex real estate financing transactions for her borrower clients with a focus on multifamily properties, including affordable housing projects and senior living facilities. Kathleen has a wealth of experience in Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and HUD financings. She has also represented developers in public finance transactions, including the issuance, refunding, credit enhancement and restructuring of tax-exempt multifamily housing bonds.

Many of those portfolio transactions have also involved new financings and/or loan assumptions. Kathleen has also helped clients sell bank-owned real estate assets.

Although her ultimate goal was law school, Kathleen developed an interest in real estate during college. As an undergraduate, she earned a degree in finance and real estate and obtained her real estate broker’s license.
