    Bio

    An Otten Johnson shareholder, David practices in the areas of lending, creditors' rights, bankruptcy, real estate finance and commercial law. David frequently represents lenders in a wide range of commercial transactions, as well as remedial matters including loan workouts, modifications and litigation arising from loan defaults. Within his bankruptcy practice, David most often represents secured creditors, but has also represented creditors' committees, Chapter 11 debtors and trustees.

    As a trial and appellate lawyer, David has handled bench and jury trials and appeals in commercial cases before state and federal district courts, federal bankruptcy courts, and state and federal appellate courts. His trials have involved matters such as lending, real estate, construction, mechanics' liens, design professional malpractice, business torts and copyright ownership.

    David has been active in the firm's management, serving on the firm's executive committee for eighteen years and acting as its Director of Finance for twelve years.
